Based out of Salt Lake City with frontman JSin and his partner Vecha released Begin Transmission (an unofficial official album) in 2001. In 2004 Chrome joined JSin on stage.

CF signed to COP International Records in late 2002, releasing their first album, Vengeance, in 2003. Featured in magazines like Industrial Nation, Sonic Seducer, SLUG, Orkus, and more. In 2008 Revolutions Vol 1: Dirt, was released with a full line up on musicians including Jackie0, S Fullmer, .valve, Chrome, and guest appearances from M. Smith.

Carphax Files will be headlining the Dark Arts Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah this year. The festival runs from the 2nd to the 4th of October, 2026. We will be performing on the evening of the 3rd. If you’re in the area, come see us!
